I'm a 24 year old guy who lives in Seattle and enjoys a good pipe. I'm a production manager by day; I'm married to a wonderful woman.

When I saw the email at the end of 2007 that Dead Man's Pipes would be no more, I knew I had to act. Five minutes later I responded and a few months later I made an offer to take over DMP and keep the legacy alive. I've enjoyed a good pipe for many a year and want to share that with anyone who is interested. DMP relaunched in August of 2008.

Dead Man's Pipes was started as a hobby when the former owner, Graham bought a set of estate pipes so he could give one to a friend for a birthday present. He had a bunch of extra pipes that he sold at cost to friends. When he told one guy about the deal, he said, "Hey, I'd smoke a dead man's pipe for $8."

Here's what to expect when you order from Dead Man's Pipes.

Shipping
I always pack lightly but securely and ship via USPS Priority Mail. I insure all pipe shipments.

Priority shipping (including insurance) for pipes to the US: $6.50 for the first $50, $7.50 up to $100, $8.50 for $100 and up. Note that this reflects USPS's new cost schedule.

Pipe stands will incur additional shipping costs. I will contact you after the sale for additional shipping.

Tracking numbers are available upon request; USPS only updates their tracking database once a day, though, so on a 2-3 day shipment a tracking number is not really helpful.

Most in-stock orders ship within two business days after they are received. In all cases you will be informed via email when an order has shipped.

On special orders (new pipes), shipping policies are the same; however please allow 1 month for delivery.

Returns/refunds
I'm happy to accept unsmoked returns for refund or exchange (minus the cost of shipping) for a period of 30 days from the date of sale. Please inform me via email that you intend to return a product, and the reason why; I will do my best to resolve the situation. If a pipe has been smoked, it will not be accepted as a return.
